We started the month with “secure internet week” ((שבוע אינטרנט בטוח. This included a visit to grades 7,8,9 from a policeman, explaining to the pupils about how they need to be careful when using the internet. To make it more personal and focused, different talks were given to each class.
In addition, homeroom teachers were instructed on using the אזרחות דיגיטאלי site, and each teacher in grades 7-9 prepared a ‘שיוער חינוך’ on safe internet use. Moreover, the principal of the school also gave a talk to each class about safe internet use.
This was followed by a lot of administrative work, planning for next year, hishtalmut, preparing for meetings, etc.
We were then hit by surprise that most teachers could no longer access the Mambas. This was partially my mistake as I did not realize that each teacher had to proactively change their password before it expired. I had thought that we would be prompted to change it, as in the past with Yomanet. Unfortunately, this caused a lot of problems, and we are still getting the teachers back on line.
We are currently working on organizing our computer hishtalmut for the school, and preparing the groundwork for next year.
